Our Prodecoop Nicaraguan Organic Fair Trade is perfect for those who desire a flavorful cup that works well for all day consumption. This coffee is very fragrant, with hints of cinnamon, good body, spicy and sweet. This Nicaraguan's higher acidity provides those wonderful, floral and exotic overtones.
Prodecoop is a cooperative of over 1000 members born out of the Sandinista regime in the 1980's. They are OCIA Certified and the coffee is grown using organic methods such as composting, mulching and abstinence from petrochemicals. The beans are primarily sun-dried on cement patios. The beans are processed with above average bean size and minimal defects. This coffee is classified as SHG and is grown above 1100 meters.
