Extra Bold coffee beans will be 90%-100% larger than most coffee beans from India.
The beans are hand-sorted to ensure no defects are present.

Mysore is rich and full bodied in the cup, with plenty of spicy overtones and low acidity.
The aroma has a wonderful nutty quality with hints of woody smokiness.
The mouth-feel is big and round with intriguing notes of spices, cedar and chocolate, all wrapped in a toasted caramel sweetness.
The finish is luxurious with a restrained brightness with hints of nutmeg.
A spicy start, round smoothness, long finish... Simply outstanding!

I recommend our Full City Roast for this coffee to take advantage of as many of the characteristics as possible.
However, each Roast Level will present something wonderful and unique.
We are always happy to accommodate any roast level you prefer.
The notes below illustrate how the various roast levels will change the flavor profile:
City Roast (light roast)
Our City roast will provide a brighter cup that will have a pronounced complexity.
The body will be lighter with notes of cocoa nibs, Graham crackers, and an exotic spiciness.
The finish will be crisp and softly sweet.
This is a great choice for those who prefer a lighter roast.
Full City Roast (medium roast) - Preferred
Our Full City roast level will provide the 'sweet spot' between roast and origin characteristics.
This will be a rich, full-bodied cup with plenty of baker's chocolate, spice and caramel sweetness.
The exotic spices are presented at the forefront of the cup, and taper softly into a lingering finish that is sweet and perfectly balanced.

Full City (+) Roast
This is the roast level where you pick up notes of darker chocolate and a deeper body.
The mouth-feel is silky and the brightness tempered.
The sweetness becomes more like that of 'toasted' caramel and the finish rolls on and on.

Vienna Roast
Our Vienna Roast is the darkest I would suggest, as it will eclipse most of the spicy attributes.
The profile will provide more focus on notes of bittersweet chocolate and a deep, rich body.
The caramelized sweetness remains, and the finish becomes more pointed.
French Roast
Not recommended.

Mysore - Gold Nugget - Extra Bold
Mysore is a city and a district in the Indian state of Karnataka in the southwestern part of the country.
The city itself is about 2,500 feet above sea level and sits at the base of the Chamumdi hills, where the coffee is grown at 4,101 ft. above sea level.
All coffee in India is grown in the shade which falls into two categories: an upper, permanent canopy and a lower, temporary canopy.
Upper canopy shade consists primarily of original jungle trees (Silver Oak is a popular variety) that may tower 100 feet or more above ground level.
The lower canopy is traditionally populated by Dadap (Eryhtrenia Lithosperma) trees, which managers can easily prune to regulate the amount of sunshine and rain reaching the coffee plants.
The overhead shade trees provide a sanctuary for birds and help to control the growth of weeds on the estates and reduce the incidence of insects, pests, and leaf disease.
All coffee in India is hand-picked without the use of machinery so that only the fully ripe beans are harvested.
